Manta costs about $5.00 more but both have exact same stats except for meter increments. Anyone know if this is only difference or is the manta putter "better" in some other ways?

I use the Ghost Spider. I think its really just the increments. I think the Manta costs more for the easier to adjust increments. Personally I like going half of 15 for 7.5 and half of 25 for 12.5 but I can see the appeal in Manta for quicker math, but you get used to the 1/4 and 3/4 power shots with Spider very quickly. Is it worth $5 to make the math easier? I'm sure some think so, especially  if using a putter pal.

IMHO the spider L35 is a little gem for the price.  It will see you all the way through to L70+ when you will be more familiar with your style (see forum threads on the topic).

Also consider three evenly spaced wedges when you get to pro.  Personally I don't think you can go wrong with the great value L40 something Ping ones.  They will see you all the way through to the high level one's when you are Legend.

Iron wise nothing until L59 G20s which will see you easily through to the L79 Bladez.

Levels are not difficult to get through for a good while for you provided you do you daily play to get XP.  One hole via Community link will do it for those busy days.

What I would do if doing it again.  Can spend more in the pro shop, but that's your choice:)..........Back to the putter sorry I never used the Manta, but thought the rest might be of use:)

Gotta throw a wrench in... it's pricey, but the level 33 Versa should be  considered  also... just sayin

Speaking of Ghost putters, I have both the level 35 and level 66 putters. I seem to like that I can make more putts with the level 35 then the level 66 putter. Should I really try and get learn this higher level putter?

is there really much difference in the two? I could not see it myself especially since I am a miss the ding putter; which works for me mostly.

    Thanks for any advise

    Tiny IMO.

That's why.  They are suited to ding style, and the higher the level the more it likes to be dinged. The Rossa is excellent for miss ding and great value with the HL Versa doing both well. All very personal in putting land though I accept.

IMO (never used it) it looks cream.  I can't help but think though that it's a bit like driving a mid range Merc round Central London.  Looks great but it's practical purpose compared to a modern Ford Focus?...................Like I said, for me, L35 Ghost which will putt very well, and when a higher level and know more hone in on the final solution.

All very personal and pro shop intoxication as well I guess:).  Any high level putter in the hands of a very good player is deadly.

Indeed. Love the L33 Versa. Amazing distance control and an ultra-slow meter for an easy ding. The downshot of all that forgiveness and precision is that your line better be good..

level 92 ghost wouldent swap it for nothing. i use it on 25 scale meter. prefer the meter coming down from a shorter distance.

I used Ghost Spider 800cr until level 77 - it's a great putter. The Manta is also available at lower level which is part of what you are paying for.

I would buy the Ghost Spider then either get the High-end Method or the Odyssey - you won't need to buy another one after that.
