for the sake of courtesy,  would be nice to instant message a player (friend) who has invited you to play but you have to decline cause you are already in the middle of another game.

Go to their profile and click on the send message button. Then you can send them a PM. Only works for people on your friends list.

You can send a Wall post to anyone.

Plus, WGT have announced they will soon make it possible for you to enter a reason for declining an invite.

I'll not quit talking about this.......I could not agree more. We need a way to instant message on WGT and there's no reason we shouldn't have it.

Even the lamest of multiplayer games from 10 years ago have it. What could be so hard about it?

I haven't seen it in a while, but I though that the 'deny' option allowed you to respond with text? Maybe it i just the pre-canned selections (reasons for deny)I am thinking of, not 100% sure.

    VanHalenLover sez.....

"I thought that the 'deny' option allowed you to respond with text?"

You're correct, VanHalenLover...I used it last night to explain why I couldn't join someone that invited me to play.  A small chat box opens upon denial, and one can give a short explanation as to why he/she can't accept the invitation......and makes it a little more personal than a computer-generated NO.
