OK, I give up.  I'm not a great player here or in real life but the swing meter is KILLING me.  I was cruising along at -1 after 4 at Kiawah when the dreaded swing meter was afflicted with an attack of Tourette's Syndrome.  It cost me a 1.5 foot putt for birdie when it flew past the point where I clicked it to putt and gave me the WGT equivalent of stubbing the putter.  Next hole, same thing, only off the tee; gave me 30 yards off the tee and put me "in the weeds."  I've followed all the advice on the other threads, all to no avail.

It would be refreshing to have someone from the WGT Mothership just say that they are aware of the issue and are working to correct it.  Other than that, I LOVE this site!

We are aware that the swing meter stutters for some players some times.  The main issue is that there are literally hundreds of variables which causes this to happen.  We are committed to solving each of the issues within our control and are working down the list.

I know it's hard, but if you develop a habit in your head of not hitting the meter if you think it's going to lag, it actually helps a lot!

I know that's probably cruddy advice, but it works for me. :)

Communication regarding steps to resolve this matter is limited - nothing.  I have set a goal to give WGT 60 days to communicate, in some way, that they are taking steps to repair this problem.  All I read is that there are a “myriad” of problems that create this matter; excuses-excuses, fix it.  I would like to join For Fee tournaments and purchase Better balls however, when you click with the meter well left, the actual shot ends up well right and your ball ends up in the water, nonsense...  I understand that there are many good rounds played every day but, this issue is getting to the point of making this an inferior product.

For the fine people that continually defend WGT with comments like, “If you don’t like it go someplace else,” or “It’s free stop complaining.”  I must ask, do you have any idea how much revenue WGT generates from lost balls, tournament fees, club fees, etc.

If this matter is not communicated and addressed in 60 days, or at least in progress, I will say good luck and move on.

Well put, I couldn't agree more.

Many players don't bother to follow product recommendations closely, which may result in meter stutter. They are quick to blame everyone except oneself; that is, blame others before doing everything possible on one's own side to eliminate the issue. It's human nature.

Which players are you referring to, exactly?

None in particular. Being responsible (also) for tech support for quite a large organization for many years now, I know that people (even highly intelligent people) hate following long bulleted sets of instructions such as these. It's not fun following such instructions, so many folks just prefer to say, "Oh yeah, I did all of that," when in fact they didn't.

I've played with countless players in WGT's multi-player section who complained about meter stutter, but when I only asked them a few questions related to those recommendations, it transpired that many of them had been ignored. No wonder, then, that there is meter stutter. It's certainly not convenient to close all applications on one's computer before launching the game, especially when you like to combine play & work.

For example, I'm willing to bet that most WGT players don't bother to close the original browser window after they launch the game pop-up window, although closing the original browser window might reduce meter stutter dramatically. (It does for me in Chrome.)

So, when the admin refers to solving the meter issues within their control and that they are still working down the list of hundreds of possible variables,  what does that mean to you, as it pertains to people blaming others rather than themselves?
