    Hi

I don't really have any tips, except for practice helps alot. Many folks I know, play hit method, like aim and miss against the wind. It's not really a good way. Best is to aim for proper wind and ding. Yes., sometimes you may have to miss like that due to certain holes/winds but they are rare.

Also, remember when ball lands it'll likely break sideways towards the wind, especially if backspin is used.

Maybe missing the ding on purpose is not the best way to play, as Icon says, but if you miss on the wrong side you're dead. (missing to the right of the ding in a left to right wind, for example). I play with a ball with less spin, avoid using lots of backspin when possible and try to keep the ball low, ie, with punch shots and/or less than full (high trajectory) shots. btw, when the ball lands it will roll with the wind, not towards where it's coming from.

My best tips are 1) Don't expect the ball to go a million miles in a tailwind at all times and 2) Fool yourself into aiming what you think is way too far away from the pin. Easily my biggest problem in high winds is not moving the aimer far enough.
