Why not give the WGT courses ratings? Shouldn't a 65 on Oakmont help your average more than a 65 on Royal SG?
Good idea, OP.
WGT, if you implement this idea, please also take into account which tees and green speed were played.
It would just complicate things I'd have thought.
I don't think it would complicate much......real courses do this by implementing a slope rating, and that's essentially what the OP is asking for.
I had thought of this before, but, in reality, eff the average, enter a RG at what ever course, and you can soon get a "rating" feel:)
Hi,
While I think it is a good idea, I think that the way it's setup now works best. If you want to be a better rounded player, you should play all courses. This will show up in your history as well.

That's my point...it would entice others to play all courses if a -2 at Oakmont was equal to a - 5 at RSG.

Why not just keep playing Oakmont until you consistently shoot -5? Or better still why not play all the courses until you can consistently shoot -5 on each 9 of every course?
that makes a lot of sense!!
Dazza,
You're missing my point. Every course has a rating. Why not here?
Is shooting par from the front tees at your local muni equivalent to shooting par from the tips at Augusta National?
