About to hit level 83 in a day or 2 so that pretty much opens up all the iron sets apart from the R11s.

I think it's time for an iron upgrade from my raptures which i've loved for their slow meters and you get used the lenghts they can hit etc.

The G20 at level 83 look good but is the meter too quick?

How about the rocketballz and the level 59 G20s which have a meter not far off the raptures.

This is a pricey investment so want to get it right, advice greatly received.

Don't fear the meter, ha, ha.

If you can handle the meter on your Clevelands, you can probably handle anything.  They are only slightly slower than the top R11 and Burner irons.

I was/am meter challenged.  I remember hating the meter on the Starter set, and loved the Starter Plus' slow meter.  After a few months, moved up to the Raptures, then the G10s, and now the R11s, and don't regret it.

If price is a consideration, you want to go ahead and get the best clubs you can, despite the meter.

I played with the raptures for a long time before upgrading to the g10 59's and now the 2.0 79's.

IMO, if you like a slow meter got with the g20 83's. A lot of players love the 2.0's but they would be really challenging coming from raptures. Near the end of the meter they really speed up. If you are close to the ding though you can stick 3 irons like darts with a good ball.

Just depends if you want to learn a new speed or not.

I had one Rapture club, the lvl 47 3WD, and loved it for it's slow meter and forgiveness.

At lvl 83, after hitting Master, I chose the G20 set and haven't regretted it for a second. They play well and have a decent meter speed. I use the WGT SD balls which slow down the meter just a little bit.

I know the Burner 2.0 only from their paper form (now looking at the irons), they should be a fraction better than the G20s but with higher meter speed. Those who gain enough credits may tame them with "feeling" balls. I rather chose the comfy side...

About the RBZ, they lack a few yards only but their trajectory is "medium" compared to "high" of the other two - no good for real fun on the courses!

I replaced the R-9 woods and Burner irons with the G-20 set. The G-20 woods are marvelous; the irons a bit less than the burners but all MUCH easier to ding. I can dead stop the 3 iron to 215 yards with backspin and Nike balls. Nice feature - all clubs have same meter speed, and it is not 'fast' just 'sorta quick' - very easy to hit. Misses on the Burners are more frequent, and disappointing. When you ding em, nice, but....much harder to do. I have scored better with this setup than the old one. Also, the 'gap' between PW is huge with burners to Clevelands. I carried 4 wedges for a while to close that gap. No problemo with G-20's. I now - at Legend' - have all the tools with Driver, 3 wood, hybrid and two wedges to birdie any hole.

My dilemma is about to get to level 90 with R-11 irons available. Will try them of course, but I have the G-20 set down cold and may or may not switch. Can't go wrong at your level, IMO.
