    I get frustrated by putting , sometimes 5, 6, 7 etc. putts      . I am a newer member.

My idea is to have an option ------- what I call the   "two putt option"    ( TPO ).

After no putts or after 3 or 6 or whatever, a player presses a little option box , marked TPO,    and 2 putts are added to what they have already taken.

This allows speedy playing of a round without frustration . It allows people who just don't much like putting, to enjoy their round  and if dad or mum is showing kids how to play on WGT, it would be useful,   and also  if younger kids, playing by themselves,  just can't "get" putting  they can just press TPO when they get onto the green and they are then able to move on to their  next  " big shot" .

Moving between levels, hack, amateur , etc  might be adjusted for such an idea  and also a seperate idea ----how about level going up from hack onwards for players who just enjoy playing "closest to the hole"??.     It's a great game  --- does anyone like this first     TPO     idea     ???      thanks  from         Dave C    in   Calgary Canada

    Hi Dave,

    Welcome to WGT !

I see you have 10 ranked rounds and a 2.97 putting average.

Your idea would be too much of a penalty. After you get your "Sea-Leg's",

I know you will get your putting average in the 1.8 to 1.5 range per hole.

Give it 50 ranked rounds and you will see.

As SM says: Patience Grasshopper. ;)

I do know yuor frustration though. When I first started this game, I too had to 5-6-7-8 putt almost every hole I played. Hell .... St. Andrews #18 ... first time I went into Valley of Sin, and couldn't for the life of me get the ball up onto flat surface around the hole. Kept rolling back to me. Ended up having to take the Max. strokes reached solution. And wasn't even close to hole at that time. ^^

Practice makes perfect. So don't get discouraged at this time. Just go out and play all the courses and get some experience into the game. That will lower your scores. And continue to do so.

hi if u want a round i can give u some putting tips i noticed on forum u are having trouble, tip 1 dont move pointer, tip 2 when u drag back your swing, do it slowly till the blue bars start to move, hold it till they stop, then putt should get u pretty close, also allow for roll of the green by hitting opposing the roll, either side of the ding line. the faster the roll to the side the more u allow , start by working with the power tip for your swing that is the key. hope these tips help,

There are 20 Closest To The Hole courses you can play.  Just 9 strokes each.  There are a few putts, but you only have to try once!

If you are having more than 2 putts on a hole, you really need to work on your distance control.     Rule of thumb for every 1" down  subtract 1 foot from the distance  1 " up and add 1ft to the distance.

On standard green a 30 ft putter scale  hits the ball 30 foot

On fast it will go 33 ft full power

    very fast 36 ft

    tourney 39 ft  total distance

The green speeds are up at top right.
