I have noticed that within 2FT the 30 FT putting meter is SO unrealiable and SO unrealistic....what I personally would like to see is an AUTO-matic  NON-fail...tap-in putting feature that within 2FT the player would simply walk up to the ball and tap it in.

A 2 foot putt is NOT considered a tap-in. Under 8 inches maybe. I saw a pro golfer once in a tourney one-handed tap a 6 inch putt and miss it. Tap-in indeed!

Won't happen.  Unrealistic.  This question was asked over a year ago in this thread.

    Official response:

..... At the moment, this is not something we would consider doing. We think "gimmies" tend to take some measure of realism out of the game, and given the number of higher priority items on our development list, it is not something we plan to consider.

Note the words "not something we would consider" said twice for emphasis.

You really think a 2' putt, sidehill lie on BPB number 15 is going to be "automatic"?  Uh, no.  Not in real golf.

If you want gimmies, go to the other golf game.  There everything under 12" is "automatic"...

    Enjoy.
