    Hi MrBit,

The "OK to contact me" box is only used for marketing emails and promotions, so if you're unchecked there you shouldn't receive any of those emails.

However, tournament entry emails are not blocked by unchecking that box.  On our list of improvements is functionality to allow users to completely control which emails they receive from us.

    Mr. Bit,

For the time being you could set up a filter and dump all the wgt emails into a different folder.  It's pretty easy to figure out with whatever email client you use and it's great for cleaning up your inbox!

WGT - I see this request was requested in March 2010 and that a product update would be done for this so that we can control whether we get emails or not.  Nothing has been done as yet.  Could you please tell us when you are likely to include this update?

I've just had to delete 150 WGT emails, all either competition confirmations or forum post notifications, neither of which I want.  Yes, I know I can filter them into another folder, but I'd rather not receive them at all.

You can control the forum post notifications. There is a box which is unchecked by default when you posting a reply. Only when you check it, you will start receiving those.

I am not sure about tournament notifications. When I get receiving 20 of them per day, I just made a filter and redirected it to spam.  Feel free to email support@worldgolftour.com. Maybe there is a workaround for it that i am not aware of

So this reply was over 4 years ago.  Has the improvement come through that would enable an individual go stop receiving emails.  I am so close to deleting the app because of the useless stuff that fills my inbox

I took a look at your account and it shows that you have the box selected to receive emails from WGT.  Also any transactional emails, tournament entries or purchases, can not be turned off.  These are your receipts, so if there is a issue with a purchase and what not, you have a record.
