If this were not a pay to play site then 6:1 would be good. To be competitive and actually win enough to even worry about pro shop purchases most people will need to deposit real money to spend on clubs and the recurring ball purchases.
The payout structure they have designed for ready-go's is brilliant from their end, not for the player however...they take out 20% from the pool (should be no more than 10%) and they pay so deep that only the top 4 spots are truly rewarded, but not even to the level they should be. They should cut the payout line to the top 15 and deepen the prizes for the winners. They pay deep to keep people winning .50c and entering more or buying some new balls.
My point of all this is that if you are winning enough to make the top 4 spots and accumulate enough credits then why rape us again at the pro shop with a 6:1 ratio? We are the ones buying the clubs and a new sleeve of balls every two days. Not that anything in the pro shop is even an attainable goal currently being priced so highly.
Poker sites know this much, that is not the place to make money. That is the place to allow the funders of the site get rewarded at an even money ratio, keep us playing. So go 1.5:1--2:1 with some reachable credit points and let us feel like we aren't just dumping money into cyber-nothingness.
