i use spin on all my approach shots. prefer to aim right on top of the pin and stop the ball on touch down. not always possible tho with strongish wind from behind and especially with an elevated approach .. but since i started figuring the yardages for this type of play, my avg improved quickly .. if thats your type of game then go for clubs with 3 dotted spin control and nike balls .. perfect combination for a backspin green-approach game
