  Could somebody kindly relate some directions on how to upload a real picture into my profile. Remembering your talking to a not so skilled person on this stuff. I really appreciate any help. My sincere THANKS, Lost fore ever.!

  This assumes you already have a picture you want to use. It must be on your computer and you need to know where it is.

  Go to your profile, click on the blue "Appearance" tab in the middle of the choices. On the left hand side of the pop up screen you see, at the bottom, click the "Upload your own photo" button. 

  The next screen is where you do it and is easy to understand. GL

  But I don't see an "upload your own photo" button???

  when you click appearance tab from 'my profile' the button should be on the bottom left side.

  This is what you should see when you click the Appearance button.
