cuddlepuppy:If I accept the club and strength indicated, it takes it 20 ft too far, or not far enough. And you think this is OK? lest we not forget the putting.
cuddlepuppy,
The pre-selected club is generally the club that is the shortest club that has enough length to get you to the hole. This does NOT account for lie, slope, wind, etc - that is left up to the player, just like on a real course. Also, there is no 'recommended strength', the power/distance control is all in how far you drag the meter to the left before releasing it. There IS quite a learning curve, and it continues as you progress in tiers. If you are patient and give it a chance, you will find yourself enjoying the game as you master it, only to start all over again as you progress to a new tier. Quite challenging actually, if you are patient enough not to give up on it.
cuddlepuppy:Does anyone want to address the points I made,
I'd be happy to if you could spell them out a little more clearly. Your initial post looked like a frustrated rant, and I'm not 100% sure what other specific issues you are having, but there are plenty here who have went through the learning curve, including MANY who are much further than I, who are more than willing to help someone with a sincere interest in learning from others.
Fire away when you are ready!
