I just got promoted or could say demoted to Tour Master Tier. I had a 63 even stroke avg. when I made it to Tour Master. Then I golfed only to rounds, one was an 188 hole event and was -5 and I had the same avg. then I golfed a nine hole event and was even. and shot up to 69.5. Both rounds were tournaments.

When you change Tiers, your average resets so you can throw out your old average.  As a Master, when your average drops below 63, you're moved up to TM.  Your average as TM will be based, roughly, on your 50 lowest ranked rounds.  I believe it's at 61 that you move up again to Legend.

Yes, the average is reset after a tier change.

No, the old numbers do not count any more.

In the moment of promotion you have seen the last Master ave.

After the next game, a 67, the ave. will have changed to that number. From 9 hole rounds, the score is doubled, 36 x 2 = 72. 67 + 72 give your current ave. of 69.5.

It won't make any difference if you play tournament rounds or not, all ranked strokeplay rounds count the same.
