On the 18th at St Andrews in the 9 hole weekly unlimited play tournament. A 6 foot straight put that I pinged for a 33. But before the put was made a message came up that the tounament had expired. I only started the round 20 min before.

OK it wouln't have gotten me onto the leaderboard but why would my round just stop?

Golf is about your tee off time.

So now I have to play another round to keep my consecutive days experience points going.

    Not impressed :(

    hi

the timer checks state of tournament with the last putt of the game. it means tournament ended, butnot within last second but could been 5 minutes ago. we just check the state of it at the last second.

That happened to me before but I knew why. Example the tournament is between 1-2 pm, at 2 pm u just left the last shot, it does not matter, your round will end. I think that's very fair as u are given that limited time to play.

Right, but there you can't "save and quit" the game for hours or days. You'll rather be DQ'd when you leave the course without consent of the Committee.

For the sake of tournament completion "in time" it must by this way round here.
