    Hi Hugas,

You can. But not all clubs are eligible for gift.

When you go to the Pro Shop, select whichever equipment you want to buy and you'll see GIVE AS GIFT button.

If you don't see it, it is probably not eligible.

Is it possible for me to gift a club i already own to someone?

As i have used it, bought a new one, and would like to pass it on to that player.

No sir... once you have purchased it for yourself there are only two options... keep it, or sell it back to the pro shop (for about 25% of the purchase price.)

You can only gift new equipment straight from the pro shop.

If I remember correctly, you used to be able to gift your old equipment to someone else. That you can no longer do this shows you where WGTs priority is.  As long as the person you want to gift a club to is at the proper level for that club, the only reason for not allowing this is strictly financial.  WGT wants to give you approximately 25% of what you paid for the club but if they allowed you to gift the club to someone else, they get nothing.  I understand that figuring out how to generate revenue on a website is difficult (just ask yahoo or Facebook), but controlling what you do with a club(s) you have already paid full price for is taking it too far.  You can no longer think of websites being more "friendly" towards their consumers...remember google's corporate motto is "do no evil!"

This has not been possible for 8+ years since I joined the game. Your experience is a year longer but certainly not currently valid.

Apparently, you missed their T&Cs (below).

You didn't buy the clubs but only a limited license...

His post is almost as old.  I don't think you've ever been able to pass on clubs.

Gifting clubs, bought from the pro shop, started in Dec 2009and it seems it wasn't everything which maybe explains the first couple of posts in the thread.

    Gifting

Just in time for the holidays, you can now purchase clubs, balls, and avatars for your friends. Items can be purchased for any WGT player or non-WGT friend (they will have to register to receive the gift). Pro and master level clubs and balls are not available for gifting, and you may not gift an item from your own inventory—you must purchase a new one.
