    Of all the courses to play with starter clubs, Olympic is my favorite. You can reach almost every fairway (you can reach them all with the right wind).

    If you play it smart, par is achievable with starters, but I use a real putter and Callaways. A starter ball is just too masochistic.

    I'll bet the top guys could shoot in the high 60s there.

     I like playing practice mode rounds on Olympic and Oakmont with the starter clubs, putter and ball. It's like inventing Golf yourself.  They play pretty well from the white tees and I've shot under par on both. From the Championship Tees it's just a short game practice session that doesn't go too well.   lol.

     

    I'd play in a starter equipment only Tourney any day.
