Boy, I tell ya, today makes me want to quit...  played a couple of completely AWFUL rounds earlier today, and just tried a couple CTTH challenges, and I can't hit anything...  it doesn't help that my computer is slow and laggy, but I'm not using that as an excuse. Just can't hit the meter, can't judge the conditions, can't putt - it's just been a really crappy day...  if I didn't love this game so much, I'd say the hell with it, but I do, so...   *sigh*.

You're not alone Chapman.  It's amazing how much this plays like real golf sometimes.

Ever since I turned Master, got a new driver, use the slow meter balls, got a new wedge, I have those days all the time. Like you say, it`s not the games fault but totally me. I am currently (I know it won`t last) in first place in the wolf creek ctth, and third place on the other wolf creek ctth. But now I can`t even come close to what I shot. Now I have one good day out of 5.I have just lost the touch. My avg keeps going up in stroke play too. FRUSTRATING AS HELL.

We all have days like that and sometimes even weeks. At the start of the week my ave. was a little over 69. Don't remember exactly what it was, but was thinking I might make master soon. My play since then has been only decent to totally awful. And my ave. is back up to 72.95. But even with this very bad week i am still here hacking away hoping to get better.

Cheer up RChapman, it only gets worse...erm... I mean better.

My game is suffering atm as well.

Lately every time I enter a tourney or play someone, my game immediately and I mean right off the bat, turns to crap. Saving par atm for me is a huge achievement. It's as if I have a mental block whenever something is on the line. I'm so frustrated, I keep switching irons, balls, wedges, you name it, to get back on track. Now my average has sky-rocketted as of late.

But this has happened to me a few times already, so I know it will pass.

Take a break, hassle folks on the forums, watch a movie, or somethng, then come back fresh and ready to work through it.

You didn't have to quit on me because of that, you still may have beat me, the way I play against others, you still would have had a chance.

Keep on truckin', I mean golfin', you'll have days you'd think you're the Tiger Woods of WGT, others the Mr. Magoo.

    Greg.

Thanks all...  I'm not interested in besting others, particularly - I just want to hit the ball well...   I had a much better round later at St. Andrews (3 over for 9)... It's slowly getting better...   I'm starting to get the feel of the greens, that's making a big difference. I just wish my driver went further.

And you will...perhaps not overnight, but you will. Just hang on to the fun.
