hi
could you please tell me why balls are taken away so often ive just played a par 5 at congressional two shots middle of the fairway third shot to the middle of the green putting for a birdie and notice comes up ball taken out of play please tell me how this can happen and its not the first time.

Each store bought ball has a "durability" rating. Basically, they have a certain amount of hits, then they are tossed out and a fresh one gets added.
You will see your hits counter on the game screen below the ball ( where you add top or backspin)

balls have durability, so once it's used up, it is replaced by the next ball. the durability meter located on the bottom right corner.
