Why not have 1 or 2 ready go's where you can only use starter clubs (same tee's for all though or tier based) having seen a starter club tournament i decided to play Olympic with starter clubs, and wow, it was just like playing for real again.  Having to aim up fairway to green and not attack pin over bunker, 22 yard pitch shots going 35 yards, long irons acting like punch shots and overshooting by 10 yards, it was one heck of a challenge to try and get par or better, and after reading forums, a lot of people play with starter clubs occasionally just for a fun, challenging, REALISTIC SCORING round. Could it be done 1 or 2 ready go's which you are allowed to enter ONLY if you have starter clubs equipped?  It feels more satisfying beating par from legend tee's with starters than it does scoring 56's with R11's!

Good idea but how could WGT police it? I mean there are many many people who would enter then use their high level clubs and balls. You know human nature.

I played last years U.S. Open qualifier with starters once and had a +1 72 I was as proud of that 72 as I was my best round -9 62.

I totally agree about the playing and scoring with the starter clubs. It's so hard it's way more fun from the tips. Play Oakmont with all starters. I actually got around in 1 under on 20 putts. I feel like that was the best round I've ever played.

Either Ready Go's or just free Touneys, WGT has to program a way to have these. It's a blast and much more satisfying IMO.

or you could just set up your own paid starter tourney in your countryclubs.

whilst im here may as well have rapture RG and g20 RG maybe some rocketballs RG

seems to me folk want realism to the max, folks its online golf, it wont be created like that untill another 50yrs, want true golf? go outside an play it.

dont like using good clubs? cool use ya starters and have all the fun you can have, i may troll these forums and try find posts from waaaaaaay back when i bet most posts where about how poor and UNREALSITIC those starters and starter balls are, so WGT  responded and gave the customer what they want

carefull what you wish for i say.

Now dont get me wrong i sometimes use the starters when i playing against my kids and it is good to go back to em, but the most accurate score for you is the one scored using real clubs in the real golf courses.

    hope i aint ranting

    best regards
