    Iconain has mentioned is some of the Game Tips articles about keeping notes as a way to track how you've hit in different locations over a course.

    Has WGT considered adding context sensitive (per hole, per course, per user) notes tags within the game? Perhaps as an option to purchase? This, so that when certain conditions are encountered, all one needs to do is click on the course screen to the applicable note or perhaps add a new note indicating play type and results.

    Any thoughts about this? I feel that, even at level 53, I am not improving compared to peers. Experience as well as tracking(even charting) my progress would benefit my performance. Inside the game would be nothing short of amazing.

    Thanks

    While pencil and paper are nice, this idea isn't half bad. I could see them having a tab at the top named "My Locker" next to the "My Profile" button or something. My locker could include tournaments you have entered, notes, stats, and more.

    The pencil and paper are fine, but may not follow me around wherever I play. The idea of embedded notes is that;

    a) not only are they part of your "locker" (interesting idea), only the notes about a particular course/hole/play line are presented when you are back at that same place. Things like, recorded wind speed, elevation, club I chose last time, how well I hit it (meter zero crossing), what strength I used, how far it went, etc. These could all be electronically attached to my ID only and available at a simple click of the mouse.

    b) you could have an option to share notes with 'friends' (though goes against the golfing rule of giving advice to fellow players).

    c) could offer 10 last plays or unlimited number of recorded entries

    There are eleven ways from Sunday I can think f how this could work. If I were a software programmer, I'd write the code.

    Maybe there are others who have ideas like this?

    I know some use word pad, I just find it cumbersome to take notes, the decipher what the heck I wrote..lol

    But you could use many of your computers functions and just put your notes on a flash drive for traveling.

    Personally I feel and additional sw needed/running while the game is open, would lead to exaggerating meter issues if it's tied to the game client.

    Great ideal you have. But instead of an on screen  note pad just have one you can check before you start a round/tourn. to refresh your mind on what you need to do on any given course. a MY NOTES if you will
