Balls wear out. From time to time you will lose a ball just because it's been hit the maximum # of times. Putts do not count as hits unless they're in a CTTH contest.

putts didn't used to count except in ctth, but they sure do count now.

all putts count now, notice the ball wear meter now appears on the green, where it didn't before.

The ball wear meter may show but people have been counting the ball strikes and they are verifying that stroke play putts are NOT counting against ball life. That's already been covered in multiple other threads.

I actually like getting reminded that I am down to my last ball..I don't like running out of balls in the middle of a game, especially in alt shot when I might let my partner down..

Also, rather than going thru the hassle of buying balls in the pro-shop, I find it much easier to replenish my rocks by clicking the lil box in the game client..

A lot of people like buying them that way. I would find that to be a distraction so I just make sure I have at least a dozen of whatever ball I'm playing that round in my bag before I tee off.

I do like knowing that the reminder will pop up and I can replenish in the middle of a round just in case I ever cut myself short. Nice to have that security blanket there.

Would gladly trade a distance, spin and feel dot or two for a couple of dots worth of

    Buoyancy.

I heartily agree, since the first ball in any sleeve will "mysteriously" disappear into a water hazard or weeds the first round played.

I consider the purchase price to be for 2 balls + 1/2 round.

Tired of watching a buck fifty ball "lost" in the weeds every time I hit 2 degrees off line. I can handle Master tees and greens, but the ball issue has taken the fun out of WGT for me.

Credits are much harder to come by than when I started and I can't afford a new sleeve of balls every day so I've decided to play less and play starters, and chalk it up to another good thing gone bad.
