  Shame it was a tad late, looks like he became a Master and then quit soon after.

  Until September 2010 (around 4 months after the OP posted) Master was the highest tier.  I didn't join until November 2010, so I don't know what tees Masters were playing off, but I can only summize from the outcry at the time (from what I read) that Masters were still off shorter tees than Legends were after the bump-up in September 2010.
