  Does anyone own an oilskin garment? Jacket, overpants, chaps??

  I have a full length duster and love it, I've had it for years. Recently, I am able to actually fit into it again. lol I see that they only recommend Duckback Dressing to recondition it now. But, mink oil sticks in my head as what I used to use on it. It's been a long time since I've reconditioned it. 

  I can't find any Duckback Dressing locally and I'd rather not order online. It's not the cost of the product that bothers me. It's being bent over and brutally raped for shipping. lol 

  Does anyone own an oilskin and use mink oil or another alternative, to duckback dressing, to keep it waterproofed? What are you using? Thank you.

   Just looked it up on Google and looks fairly low priced including shipping. Unfortunately amazon may be out of stock on it.

  I would definitely stock up on it if you find a lower price with free shipping.

  Yeah, I looked it up on Google. I hate paying so much for shipping, for such a small weight, even if I bought 2-3 tins of it.  Damn, I don't want to give them all that money for shipping!! lol

  I haven't seen many good reviews on Nikwax, not for oilskin application. 

   

  Thank you, Gentlemen, for the responses though. I may have to grit my teeth and pay those bastards for shipping.

  Maybe do a search for local farm or horse supplies in your area. Also start looking around and see if anyone owns horses around your area then ask where they get their supplies from locally. Any horse racing tracks in your area as well? , that's another source.
