Is it possible to go backwards in tiers.  I know from own experience of making master and seeing my average go from 65 to 75 in a single day I still kept the master title but what about the lower tiers, hacks and amateurs?  If they advance to say pro and struggle can they get moved down a tier or 2?

I believe once you go up you can't go back down on any level. I know what you mean thugh, I wish I had stayed at pro lol

    No.

This is why it is very detrimental to cherry-pick your best scores and rush to the Master tier....  most players who do that are exposed once they get there.

Snaike is right. As he has always said on these forums, Don't Sandbag!  If you sandbag you might impress your friends with the rank of "master" but you'll never compete at their level.  If you keep an honest average you will be in the correct teir and you'll be able to compete and win prives in tournaments.

Thanks for all the replies.  I didn't think it was possible but had to ask as some amatuer player asked me a few days ago and I hate not knowing the answer when someone asks me a question

Personally I have never sandbagged or cherry picked my best scores.  I play all my rounds to completion, posting the good, the bad and the downright ugly.  Although I have forfitted a few match play games due to pc problems in the last week.
