    Hi WGT.

I have been playing for a long time. One thing i cant understand is the changing................ how you calculate the handicap. My handicap is 60.82 and before last update i got my handicap down by playing 31 even 32. I just finished playing Famous holes front, and shot a 29 ............................and my handicap doesnt change  ????????            Has a man with 60.82 handicap...............have to play a 28 to get it down..................Thats a joke.

Everyone is trying to get handicap under 60 to get to Tour legend........................

Guys your getting to GREEDY......................................... : (

    Hoping for an answer

    hi

I dont have an answer for you because I don't know it. I can just tell you that if you keep posting your best scores,l the rest will be taken care of by the system.

you just need to start stringing more sub 30's back to back.....in order to decrease the number of the 31+'s from your last 40 or so best rounds....or however many of your last round wgt uses to calculate avg's.

Having been on holiday for a few weeks the movement in my average came as a shock. I have always been none too bothered by it once it got down to below 60 as it then becomes a bit of a joke number. However having had to grind it out from the 66 it was on day 1 of the Legend tier being introduced, it does irk me seeing it go up now :^(

Never thought I'd say that but maybe I cared about it more than I liked to let on to myself, lol. Still it does get the serious head on when playing, today I have managed 3 consecutive rounds where it didn't go up :)

That feels like a small victory now......

    Oskar,

I'm sure that your average moved, you just may not have noticed it.

29 gets into the calc. as 58, and I assume that you're beyond the magic 400 rounds.

Imagine if 32 / 64 were your highest score in the mix, you'd drop 6 points from it (64 - 58), and 6/400 is 0.015 - visible as a .01 or .02 change due to rounding. Even a 4 points change would not stay unseen (+/- .01).

Nobody can look into your average calculation unless you stored all your Legend scores. Alas, I've more than once witnessed that s.o. did overlook a change or correlated it to a wrong individual score.

OTOH, I've never discovered a wrong calculation by WGT, and I've been looking into quite a few of them.

Anyway, the average should not be the most important item of this game - have fun and hit it straight - a 29 says you have none of the meter problems like many others!
