SilentOmegaWolf: The wedges and the ball you use are the only upgrades I would venture into at this point. Ball would be my first upgrade so the irons can hold the greens better on approaches
+1 for that advice ... as far as it goes. You won't go wrong with an upgrade of wedges though! I play the CG11 wedges (56/60/64 degrees, 100/80/60 yd nominal ydg) because distance matches well my R11 irons (120yd PW), but mainly because they are extremely precise for distance control for all shot types, once you learn to properly use the tremendous spin action they generate. Those 3 clubs using full or punch shots can reliably get me anywhere from 105 yds to 35 yds within a couple of yards. Inside 40 yds, using flop, pitch, or chip shots, the accuracy is similar - if you learn how to deal with the variables of lie, wind and elevation/slope of your target area.
Many players get turned off by the huge spin generated by the CG clubs, but if you learn to use back- or top-spin with them in moderation, you'll have a great set of close-in weapons.
