Evening all; I'm back and well and truly knackered :)

I'll give you all until 10pm GMT to get your rounds submitted; that gives you 1hr 50 minutes by my clock. I wont post to close play but any scores posted after this time wont be accepted (firm ruling even if the score is submitted one minute late).

I've still to review this weekend's play so there maybe some issues to go through before a final result is given. For example, TDHarvey has given me his final card showing that in the final 2.5 holes which he finished on his own after the disco he suffered, he came in with a 54. On an 18 hole round, I'd let someone complete inside the final three holes so in theory this score should (and probably will count). I need to catch up with Luciano and Andy to go through these matters and I'll post during the course of tomorrow to close off Week 8.

Credit winners will receive this month's payout in the coming days. I'll send PM's to all the necessary Tour sponsors so that these can be sorted ASAP.

My apologies for the lack of comms over the last 5 days; I've had a heavy time at work and then a busy family weekend which has meant that the tour has had to go into the background. From Wednesday, I should be back on track and fully keeping things moving.

Matchplay places are decided this week; those in the top 40 will receive PM's asking them whether they will want to compete in this event. I'd prefer not to have a whole host of walkovers so this will extend beyond the top 64 if I see that a player doesn't want to take part.

Think that it but I'll give a few big updates soon.

Yes Terry; all points up to the end of week 9 will be included in the matchplay seedings. I'll contact the top 75 players during the week and those who aren't interested won't be added into the MP tournament.

Just starting on closing off W8. Will take awhile as I need to read through each post. If there are any major issues (people not completing rounds due to no ruling being given) there will be dispensations given. Hopefully this won't be needed but I don't want to see anyone adversely affected by my absence over the last few days.

CLOSE OF PLAY

Tonnoincanna's stunning R1 / R2 performance saw him narrowly take the Open Championship title with a one stroke victory over his nearest rivals, Kriztjan and TDHarvey. He was pushed all the way as the two runners up produced stunning performances to close the gap down to the narrowest margin possible. Tom produced the notable feat of a perfect round, with 18 straight birdies giving him a round of 54.

In the overall standings, whilst the top 10 remains largely unchanged, there has been significant movement lower down the table. Players such as Ironking34, Jumper281, Dazza501, TDHarvey and Tonnoincanna all pretty much doubled their previous tour qualifcation points totals which has seen them all make significant progress up the standings.

With only Week 9 left to go before the WGF Matchplay competition, it's going to be a hard fought battle to win those final places into a tournaments where all players are guaranteed rankings points.

The tour standings have been fully updated and the credit prizes follow below. Tour sponsors will be PM'ed tomorrow so that the second release of prizes can be completed.

Most eagles = Terbal (4) = 350 credits (lowest ranked player wins)

Hole in one/Double Eagle = 350 credits (1 event) (to be carried over and pooled cumulatively for the next event if not won) = N/A (TBC)

PS: If anyone had a Hole in One this week, please reply to this post. As I've been away for a lot of the week, I've not had a chance to go through the entire week's scorecards. There's one in already for W9 so it's important to know if I'm carrying the credits over.
