Hey guys, I'm kinda new....been playing about a month.

I bought a set of clubs and have worked my way to "pro"  I average about 70, but havent been able to break 68.   I dont cherry pick, thats just what I shoot.  68-73 i'd say.

I'm thinking of cherry picking to get to master to get the best clubs though.  I'd hate to buy a pro set now just to buy the master set a week or two later.

Thoughts?  Thanks guys, and many virtual and RL birdies to all!

    John

Welcome John.   To get started, check out information over there --------->

If you want to enjoy this game, keep doing what you are doing...you'll move up when the time comes.  If you enjoy pulling the hair out of your head, all you need to do is jump into the Master tier before you are ready.

Fair Warning...this thing can be habit forming (smile).

You can play as a master with the Ping V2 Raptures fairly adequately, all you need is a Master class driver, I recommend the R-9. Eventually you would need to upgrade your irons as I did to G-10s, if you really want to excell. Good Luck and keep swinging!

If your going to cherry pick hold off buying any clubs till you turn master, like you say theres not much point buying new clubs one week only to buy more a week later.. Before you turn master rent a club with a faster meter reading, so you can see what your up against, it may put you off moving up prematurely. As well as lighting fast meters that come with all the master clubs the tees are set back father than the pro's, and of course the greens are very fast. So you might want to go to practice mode and set the speed to very fast, then after all that if the greens and fast metered clubs haven't put you off....move on up!

Good advice griff, but you left out one thing. Once you make Master, there's no going back to pro if you can't hack it as a Master. lol
