I have just  paid 500 credits to play in the August 'Tour Pro' Tournament and after I'd finished the round looked at the leaderboard to find that the top 5 players leading the tournament are 'Masters'. This can't be right as I am unable to enter any other Monthly Tournament except 'Tour Pro'. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

When a player enters a tiered tournament (in your case Tour Pro) the tier level is checked to see if you are eligible. When you finish the round your average is updated and if is low enough you get promoted to the next tier providing you have met other requirements. The leaderboard will show your new tier even though you entered the tournament at the lower tier.. Entering other tier based tournaments will then be based on the new tier.

Ok, I started the Monthly 9 Hole Stroke Play Tournament as a 'Tour Pro' and shot a 5 under 30. They have put my score under 'Amateur' and I'm currently second place. Why would I be classed as amateur if I started the tournament as Tour Pro and I'm still ranked Tour Pro. You can go to the leaderboard and see under Amateur that I'm there. Thanks.

    I see in your history:

    08.01.12 August 9-hole Monthly Tournament Back 9 Amateur 42
    August 02, 2012

So you entered as an Amateur and all your further starts in this tourney will be under "Amateur" conditions, including your rank on the leaderboard.

BTW: The guy in 1st place is a Master now.

Since you tiered up to Tour Pro, the scores, including that 30, will count towards your current average regardless.

    Congrats to you quick advances!

Ok thanks for the explanation, I appreciate you taking the time. I can now see how this could happen as the tournament has been going all month. Thanks again :)
