i wonder who  chooses these , i would thank that you never played golf, must be sitting in a local bar trying to make the wgt players  pissed off , at least some of us, i'm a old man and i enjoy playing computer golf , but give us a break with heavy winds, this ain't  the british open,  try and be reasonable each week and give us old people like me a chance, moderate wind i can deal with and i would thank more people would play if it wasn't heavy winds in a lot of these contest, hope some wgt players agree with me and also pin placements  you can't put them on a more slant give us a break wgt, i play a lot of golf in my younger and was a 8 handicap and never play in much wind, once in a while, you  will not get more of my money wgt

Wind is just part of playing golf, and yes it can be hard to adjust to on the Links Courses on this game, but with practice you can improve. I have actually played St Andrews on three occasions, once there was hardly a breath of air, the second time it was hard to stand up let alone hit a golf ball, the third time was not too bad. As it is apparently set on random I think this is a fair mix. The alternative is to play on practice mode and set the conditions to your liking.

However this seems somewhat strange coming from someone who is a legend - how easy do you want the conditions?

I personally, like many others would like other factors to come into play, like rain, lies such as slope etc. For someone who played off 8, I would have thought you would be happy with a 61 average - would have been unattainable in your playing days! I'm no Legend but always like the challenge, if I could shoot sub 60 rounds constantly (never have) I would be bored as it would no longer be realistic.

Tier level and the course being played apparently have a lot to do with how much wind a player has to deal with.

The courses near the oceans usually seem to have faster winds than inland courses, and from what I've seen playing at the Masters tier wind direction is also tier based.

At the Masters level, if you do get a following wind, it's very often on holes that have very narrow or short landing areas.

I'm not complaining. My stroke average continues to go down, I'm just saying it sure seems the wind is not random.
