    It does matter!

In real golf, it depends on skills - some have them, most don't.

In this virtual world, some skills must be acquired with credits - length and spin are prominent examples.

This is not physics but a business plan.

Hate to say this, IRL, the type of golf ball does matter.  Why, because it can be more receptive to spin, excluding groove design.  Cover type, and compression makes a whole lot of difference.  Thus, cheap golf balls, lets say $10 per dozen, will not have the same technology as the Titlelist Pro v1x.

Just my two cents worth.  When I first started playing golf, I used to buy the cheap balls, till I got better.
