Hi all, love the game and my apologies if this has already been suggested elsewhere. As we all probably realise by now, the search function is not the best ...but that's an idea for another thread :)
I kind of like the idea of a new type of weekly WGT unlimited strokeplay tournament, in the style of a "set equipment challenge", open to everyone regardless of their current tier but with results still recorded by tier.
Week 1 might be all starter clubs, starter balls, low wind and everyone hitting from amateur tees at St Andy's, Week 2 might be Legend tees, R9 driver, L79 Burners, Cleveland Wedges and insane winds at Bethpage, Week 3 might be Master Tees with L59 G20 clubset, Ping wedges at Kiawah etc, etc... Variety and challenge would be the keys.
Would remind higher tiers how good their current equipment is and give lower tiers the chance to try out longer tees, faster greens and try out different combinations of better equipment they might want to aim for as they progress.
This would allow WGT to showcase a wide range of the different products available in the Pro Shop and let people of all differing levels of skill, experience and credit levels compete together on a completely level playing field. Really just something a bit different and fun to add to the experience.
