I see the project for changing individual irons on the work list about halfway down.  It occurred to me that some stopgap code could be quickly implemented to make an extra wedge available to players that have suggested this feature previously.  Here's how.

Like many other players, I have a gap in my irons betIween the wedges and the full set.  This cannot be remedied because you can't get rid of the 3 wood and without the driver you aren't competitive.  In real golf, one can hit a driver off the deck.  OK, it's hard but it can be done.  If a little more latitude were given to the driver by allowing shots off the deck and minimally from the light rough like the 3 wood (only reprogramming one club), then 4 wedges could be used, eliminating the gap.

I've got 4 wedges in my inventory and have tried leaving each one out of my bag for a period of time.  Incredibly, many short approach shots seem to be in the range of whichever club I don't have in that round.  (not suggesting conspiracy, just stating facts BD and others).

I play with 4 cleveland wedges & all seems fine. The key for me is my 3 iron is rated 220 yds.  On long par 5's, i simply lay up to a comfortable number & hit the wedge from that spot.

Why? I never even owned a 3W or HB until I made Legend. Plus you can punch the driver off the deck.  :-)
