why is your avg goes down when u score higher. like you score a 71 and it drops from 69 to 69. or u shoot a 69 and it drops to a lower 68?

69 to 69. something is going up...and your 69 will have dropped maybe a 74 off your best ranked rounds...Andy..edit.probably dopped the 50 on St As

It works due to the limitation of the special WGT average - it's the average of a certain number of your best rounds in one tier (9 hole scores are doubled).

    Imagine playing 62, 64, 66, 68, 70, 72 (sum = 402) in an average limited to 6 scores. The average will be 67. Now play a 69, above your average and replacing the 72. The new average of 62, 64, 66, 68, 69 and 70 is 399 will be 66.5.
