Hi, I played a tour legend yesterday and saw that there is a new green speed called championship greens. Can anyone tell me a good formula for those as there is for tournament greens? I had some real trouble getting the length and hit it like 10 feet too long a few times.

I don't use formulas so to speak, but word of caution, be careful on DH putts and be firm on uphill putts.

I/e a 10 foot 3 inch DH putt on T greens that you normally hit with X power, play it like a 8 foot putt...now the 10 foot  3inch up hill putt, play it as you would T greens, but just maybe a scooch less...or just as firm and find a good line.

Sorry, not very scientific, just how I do it.

On tournament greens there is a good formula which i use for longer putts, like the ones 25 feet+. Its very hard to make like a 40 feet putt with just feel on the championship greens. :)

If you have your usual green speeds sorted, then as a rough guide I'd suggest knocking around 17% off for championship greens on the flat but as previously stated uphill and downhill putts vary greatly. Steep downhill putts need just a touch rather than a hit.
