thinking i was smart i got a 27" screen bout 9 months ago just to play WGT,but the meter keeps on running on for about 2 secs after you click.

so i went out and bought a razor mouse for gaming..... tottaly useless, still the same.

so the only way i can play is i have to resize my screen of the game client to smallish :(

it took me ages to find a happy medium, after a bit of tinkering and trying 4 different browsers.(firefox works best for me)...

i have to set the meter bar to 102 mm before i start playing(bit of a drag)...bingo ..everything back to normal....

so maybe yours is the same kinda problem i had....try it it may work...

    happy hitting

    s2x.

yes, sounds like experimentation is the key here ,some swear by a big monitors, others vice-versa.

Increasing the size of the monitor means that WGT has to paint more pixels per millisecond than they do for average monitors (presuming you don't drop the resolution way back to compensate).  Since they only get to run every so often, they already have to paint multiple pixels per time slice.  Increasing the number can only increase the visibility of the resultant stutter.

Its very simple!!  Lets say the meter travels from A to B with a Nike ball in 1,5 seconds on a 19 inch monitor!!  if you change to a 24 inch the  meter is  longer so it has to travel quicker to cover that distance in 1,5 seconds, this is the jest of it! if you decrease size of meter it will be slower because it has less area to cover,,smaller meter,,slower meter, but viewing is poor and putting trickier,,larger meter( wider) means faster meter but better viewing and easier to putt with,, you have to find the balance that suits you,,maybe a 21 size monitor is best i don't know!! but that's the jest of it,,wider meter means quicker,,simple,,it has nothing to do with refresh rates!

very interesting...bigger monitor, faster meter & easier too see..smaller monitor ,slower meter, but harder too see.  choose your poison I guess.

Yeah it is a matter of trial and error as there are so many different setups and configurations and drivers and and and.

Do as 1 poster said and just tinker and try all settings and reso rates etc etc until you find one that best suits your needs .

I have a 21 inch monitor and while the highest reso looks best I went down to 60 hz refresh and 1440 x 900 reso . I then open browser and hit F11 for full screen then I hit the lil icon bottom right hand corner in game screen . When I do that the ding line is a tad fatter and the meter is silky smooth. I use all lowest settings in flash too . I dont care about the bells and whistles in gameplay as long as I can get the smoothest meter possible I can do without clarity.

I have a low end and a regular run of the mill video card so I try not too push it graphically because I get meter hiccups when I do. If you have a gaming pc even with the best video card in the world your still gonna have some hiccups in the meter so you have to play with your settings a lil to work it out. Good luck
