I am new to this site but enjoy it. Is there any advantage to joining a CC early , or if I think I am going to be around for a while should I wait , learn more and start my own?

    Hi,

I would  join a CC for sure. Great way to make friends. Also, you will get more free tourney options. If you want to set up your own you need time and commitment. Can be a nice challenge later on if you decide to rly commit to the game

rodburner. be sure to join a CC that has sufficient membership. 100 +. I once was a CC member and the owner allowed the club to die.

It's best to choose one in or near your own timezone, like I haven't.

I would join one..........heck, I did.  But, I'd wait a bit.  I didn't check your profile, but a lot of clubs won't take players until they are at least "Pros" because they want to make sure the player is committed to sticking around.

Make friends by playing multiplayer rounds frequently, and when you feel you have more of an idea of what you are looking for (more matches, a/s games, competition, or tourneys, etc) then you can pull the trigger with a club.

The reason I say this is because bouncing around from club to club may dampen your spirit if you keep finding one that doesn't suit your personality.  Be patient.  Keep joining on your mind.  And, you will know when you are ready to join the one for you.  (Of course, you may feel ready now...in which case, pull the trigger and get in one.)
