Whilst I do not expect or want to take on lower ranked players in challenge modes for credits, I would like their to be an option where you can choose to either take on players above a certain rank, or take on players at the same rank as you.

I say this because as a tour pro player I seem to come up all too often with legend or so players without any option to be able to take on players of a similar level as myself through selection.  This is not an ask for a way to pick lower opponents, just opponents on a similar skill level so I do not feel I am just throwing money away in these games taking on players who are superior or cancelling games until a match can be found against someone similar to myself.

Whilst I AGREE with you in your suggestion.....

I also think you are missing the major advantages you have vs Legends and higher tiers.  You have tee box advantages that can kill higher ranked players.

Tour Pro and Tour Master are two tiers that have the top tools of their skill sets, mostly, and are still on forward tees compared to where their skills should be.

A good Tour Pro is absolutely deadly to a Master.  A good Tour Master is absolutely deadly to a Legend.  Their games are there, but they have yet to be moved back in distance.

Take advantage of this whenever you can.

Oh so true.  I have an avg. of 85 % win rate against all tiers except Tour Master, which sits at or around 60%.  Some of those guys really give you a run for the bushes...

Only suggestion I can make is for you to look at the percentages of wins before accepting the match.  This is a helpful tool that can save you a lot of time and money.

However, if and when you do decide to play against the upper tiers do so with complete confidence in your ability to win.  If you go into a game thinking that you are "outmatched" or "outgunned" most likely you are going to  try to hard and that my friend is when you will fall.  On a side note, playing against the upper tiers is not such a bad thing.  You can gather a lot of information from the right players to assist you in bettering your skill.

If you would like, add me and we can play (non-credit) matches and I can introduce you to some of the methods I use to make better shots.

thanks for the info, I Have played several matches since then, not for much just a few credits and I'm always queued against master+ players who never seem to put a foot wrong.  After giving this more time and taking on all comers I still feel this would be a worthwhile idea.

The system is broken from the begining based on the search options, why are players allowed to search for players in ranks lower than them i.e legends able to search for pro+?  maybe I am asking too much and there is not enough players queueing in challenge mode for better searches otherwise you are unable to set up matches quickly.  However right now after never winning a game (lost my last one on the first 5 holes with the opponent birdie putting everything) I just feel this area of the game is for either good players or those looking to rake in credits rather than a friendly wager between equal players looking to put something on the line.  I guess I should just stick to the weekly tournaments.  I Hope this doesn't sound like a rant, this post is born out of part constructive criticism and part frustration at being unable to have fair matches against equal opponents.

regardless of the outcome of this suggestion I would like to add that this has been a great game (especially as it is purely web based) and I have enjoyed my time playing it thus far).

I can tell you I owe my entire game to Legends and TourMasters that took the time to play with a lower tier.  The help and advice I received has pushed me forward in less time that I could have on my own.  For that, I thank them ALL.

But, your point is still a very good one.  I hope WGT allows us more control over the tiers we play.  I wouldn't want to be a TourPro looking for a challenge match from Pro+ and wind up drawing a Legend.........that's not fair.  But, I would still like to maintain the ability to play with a Legend when I want and an Amateur when I want because I have "friends" across all tiers.

    +1 Chop

Careful what you ask for there are a lot of L90+ Pros and AM's with better equipment then I have that look to prey on others of  lower, same tier or higher to take credits from in Challenge matches.

If you run into those and lose just don't come back to the forums crying how you got hustled...lol

I don't play with them.  They are too easy to spot.
