.. .. played an MPC yesterday for only 250 credits, no drama with that, played an 'elite' player so winning was not anticipated but not without a tussle at least.. .. so, we get to the last, St. A's # 13, was 1 down and he said he was going to do a 'Spin Gliche' for which at the tee box he deliberately expired the 60 sec. time clock.. .. I was unaware of any such cheat and asked the player what it was all about which he said check out the Forums.. .. so after the 'warning' he hits a beauty of a drive and so did I be it  30-40 yards behind him.. .. .. .. ..

.. So Forum folk, a 'Spin Gliche' is a WGT CHEAT for which I'm totally bewildered with and I ask for someone to explain it and any other CHEAT they may be aware of please...

                Regards,,,

My understanding of the spin glitch is that sometimes when a putt is conceded you can't put spin on the next shot. This can have bad effects on par 3s when you put backspin and no spin is applied.

I imagine he's discovered that a way round the glitch is to run out the timer and "reset" the shot. Not a cheat but a WGT bug as far as I understand.

    Edit: this thread may help:

This is exactly right. It used to be almost automatic if you conceded a putt that ended a hole, the next player up on the tee would experience this glitch-back spin on the drive caused it to come out like it was punched with a big yardage loss.

It was addressed and fixed but still pops up once in a while. The fix is to let the timer run out on your shot. You can also tell if this is necessary because when you try to move the spin dot on the ball it only goes up 1/2 way but goes way below the ball when moving it down.

No cheat, just a workaround.  :-)

It's not a problem when you concede a putt, but if your opponent concedes the hole at the same time. If that happens, the game will not let you tee off the next hole. You will be standing with your driver in hand, but your screen will show a putter and your opponent's screen, although not being his turn, will show the meter, but he won't be able to use it. It fixes itself when the timer expires 99% of the time, but sometimes you need to X out. I find it best to leave the concede button alone, so this doesn't happen (when you play against someone "new" to you, it's good to reach an understanding on how concessions will be handled).

What about this statement, true or false?

The spin glitch will be banned when you pull the meter on the next tee to shoot but do not click to stop it.

Never tried that but really haven't had a chance to do so, yet. Before this gets crazy, the spin bug is not back. It just pops up once in a great while when certain exact conditions are met. I've only seen it once since they "fixed" it and it was after conceding a hole, not a putt.

Watching a replay in a single game before taking the next shot used to produce it too but I haven't seen that once yet either.
