  match play against equal or higher tiers than yours will help lower your average very quickly. I believe winning will help move it along, but if you are a pro for example and simply finish a match against a master, you will see your average drop

  Moccmic, Only Wins against Higher Tier Players  count towards your Average Droping in Match/play, Just Turning up and Playing a Drawn match or Being Beaten earns you nothing.
