  Besides the point - my query:

  A number of solid players have suggested I always take out the pin while putting.To date I have not done this.

  Does taking out the pin assist in the success rate of putts?

  lipouts due to new green speeds. the break is amplified since you are hitting it slower than usual. it will take a while to adjust :)

  when you putt, the pin auto removed, so you are just seeing a see-through image of it.
