Hi, having massive problems around the greens. About 80% of my shots from just off the greens are duffed and travel no more than a couple of feet. I hit the meter ever so slightly harder and the ball wings 40 feet past the hole. there seems to be no inbetween. ive tried moving the dot down into the grass and hitting harder, doesnt work, ive tried topping the ball, doesnt work.

What am i missing or could be doing differently?

Also why, when i top the ball, is there a huge divot produced. Now i havnt played golf in the real world for 15 years but i seem to remember if i topped the ball back in the day, there was no divot. Strange.

    Any advice welcome guys.

Watch the video tutorials and practice.  Also, better

clubs and golf balls make a huge difference in chipping.

Those Cleveland wedges and the WGT balls in the bag now

should be fine.  A chip from deep rough (everytime it seems like)

with a 8yd or 12yd club should work as long as you leave the

green dot at the default where it is in deep rough about 25% down

from the top of the ball. (instead of 50% down in the middle of the ball)

Also, experiment with a high-lofted wedge (60*/64*) and the lob shot

with the green dot at the bottom of the ball.

As with all of this game, practice, practice, practice.

Consider the flop shot. It has become my go-to shot around the green 25 yards & under, rough or not.

    Good luck :-)

Hey bud, start usin full bs with your chips and see if that helps to hold the distance you want, make sure you read the green properly, it may say its5inch up or so, but when the ball lands on the green it may be downhill from where it lands, if you got a big distance to cover then consider the flop, again use full bs with this shot to help control it, hope this helps

I almost always use the pitch. Only use the chip for shots from less than 7 yards.

It takes a lot of time to adapt to this kind of shots, buy they really make the difference.

Be pacient mate & practice a lot.
