If there's one thing that gives me a lot of satisfaction from the game it's buying a new set of clubs and knowing that,  at least for a while, I won't have to buy any soon. One thing I don't like is that when I buy some good balls, no matter how much I like them, they'll run out quickly.

Why not go the same route with balls, make the game more enjoyable and still make some money? Charge 1000c for unlimited srixons, 2000c for unlimited callaways, or 3000c for unlimited Nikes? Or pay by month, or year. Just give us a better deal.

It would eliminate the grudges people hold against WGT for losing balls in unfortunate ways, and on the money side of things people would still upgrade, especially as they tier up and new options become available and they had credits lying around.

You hit it right on the money. I would definitely spend my money on unlimited brand name balls.

well think about it for a minute, why would they?
it's their main source of revenue.

and now with these MAX balls,
they get you addicted to the snail meter,
and by the time you realize how much money you're
blowing on 2$ balls every week your meter skills are ruined
and the "normal" speed becomes unplayable.

you say you'll pay 3000C for unlimited Nike ball (as would I in a heartbeat),
but that's not even 10 sleeves. most people go through 10 sleeves
in a month or two if you consider the odd lost balls here and there.

in 1 year, you'd spend well over 30,000C for Nike balls,
so what makes you think wgt will give that up for a 1 time profit of 3000C?

    they'll never do it.

It's a great Idea , but can't see it ever being implemented . WGT could still have their fixed income for players that buy by the month or 3 or 6 months , and they would still sell the balls that the players want that never agreed to pay the monthly fee , sounds like a win win to me .

I agree with the point of the financial aspect you're making from WGT's point of view, and maybe my prices were a bit on the cheap side, but I'm sure they could still find a happy medium. As you said, people will get addicted to the slow meter, well then why not play off the addictive element? That's what the game is all about.

One thing they could do is have your starter ball customisable. Pay 250, upgrade the 1st dot of feel. Pay 500 to upgrade the second dot, etc. It would still be in people's interests at all levels. I understand they have sponsorship deals with Nike etc that might complicate things alright.

In the 2 years I've played this game I've spent about 15000 credits, I would never in my right mind spend that much on golf balls a year, but if legends are spending that kind of money I'm sure they have those kind of stats at WGTand can come up with prices that  might suit each tier. People who are spending that much on golf balls are probably winning credits in ready go's which is basically recycling funds into WGT. Get them to pay one big lump sum and I'm sure they'd make a profit.

    I really like that analogy!
I guess I wish they'd sell me one juicy steak instead of 10 glasses of milk.

This is an interesting idea, but it sounds too much like a "subscription" to me. I can hear the players shouting: "WGT says their game is free to play but why do people pay monthly fees?"

I don't think WGT is going to make any sort of "unlimited" balls option, but it's definitely a novel suggestion, one that I've never heard before. Keep them coming! :)

I think we already hear the jist of that statement already. lol

And just as it is now,  it would be a choice to pay that.

I would not mind if they had sponsorship balls related to the videos for credits/surveys.

For instance one could watch a certain amount of  [fill in the blank with Name brand/Company here] videos or surveys for a sleeve of Logo balls. And in return it is free advertisement for that company.

I would not mine playing with logo balls from companies NOT related to golf if they have decent attributes.

Especially Logo balls from the actual courses we play here on this site.
