  I'd been playing on my desktop CPU until recently..........its not an option anymore, so I'm wondering if anyone else plays on a laptop w/ a wired or wireless mouse attached so that you can click more "naturally".  I'm going to be giving it a shot b/c for now that's my main shot at being able to play.

  Yes, I play exclusively on a laptop w/ a wired mouse with no problems.

  I know of 2 people that play on macbooks... 

  And very smoothly, too.  No meter glitches enough to notice.

  Look at the Toshiba Satellites, particularly one with a 64 bit OS. I'm on one and it's the only way I have ever played this game. Zero issues but get a wired mouse. GL

  Thanks Jim...........I'm not really looking for a laptop as I already have one (and its a Toshiba, in fact), but its nice to hear that several good players are using them as a primary machine to play the game. 

  I had tried a few "emergency" rounds using the touch-pad mouse and it was a bona-fide disaster.

  lol the touchpad doest go at the exact moment you hit it, real pain in the rear end for me, i have a logitech m-501 nano wireless mouse, its great, any "DECENT" wireless mouse will be the same

   

  i currently play on a laptop with 1gb ram and its prossecor goes 2.20ghz, i get few glitches, stepping up to a desktop with 4gb ram 1tb hard drive and 2.93 ghz 1gb dedicated graphics memory, anyone rekon thats alrigth??

  I play on a laptop with a wireless mouse exclusively and have no issues with it what-so-ever.  Except of course for my lack of ability!

  I've even played on a netbook but you need good eyesight.
