Thought 'dormie' meant in matchplay for example 1 up with 1 to play and you cant loose??

Why then are matchplay games going to extra holes?

    Answers on a postcard please!!

You are correct if conforming to match play matches such as in the Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup & Presidents Cup the matches can only be Halved.

In match play tournaments where playoffs are used to determine a match winner, which is what  this game conforms to,  dormie doesn't imply any such guarantees. Even though the term is still used.
