I was not sure if this subject about uneven lies has already been postulated. I've posted it in another thread about uneven lies, but no response sofar.

It´s about the 'on course lie-indicator'. Personally I think the lie-indicator on the bottomright is sufficient and I don't like the 1 on course. It's just about 'feelings', i.e. I think all those beautiful HDcourses are spoiled with the lie-indicator and it takes away from the 'realistic experience'. Well, that's just my opinion and I'm curious what other players think of it....

    Cheers, GC

I play the unevens quite a lot and can't say that it's bothered me much. I do enjoy the look of the HD courses and agree the lie indicator on the ground isn't a must when we have it in the corner. On a few occasions though I've not been able to tell from the corner view if I had a slight uphill or downhill lie but the one on the ground was more obvious simply because it's larger.

Keep enjoying the unevens and hit 'em crooked when you must. ;-)

I agree with you.  The lower right indicator should be enough.  Keep the course itself as realistic as possible.   C

Guess WGT could make an option in the  Game Settings Menu 2 switch it on/off. So everybody can decide 4 him/herself 2 use the ´on course lie indicator´. How about that WGT?

Thank you so much for raising this issue, GC.

I actually came across your posting in the other thread first, and have just responded to it there, but I will copy my original comments below. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Please let's get rid of the superfluous 'on course lie indicator' -- it detracts from WGT's main selling point, the beautiful course visuals!

    Corwyn:

For me, the single most compelling thing about WGT is that the visuals are so good I feel that I'm on one of these famous golf courses, and not in an artificial computer generated world. A big part of that feeling comes from keeping the clutter to a minimum, and letting you see the course as you would in real life (i.e. the essential controls are to the side and bottom of the screen).

As SgtBilko mentioned earlier, it's too busy (and I'm not sure that it adds anything… is it setting up for different info on stances in a future update?). So, if it's superfluous, please get rid of it. The cost in clutter is too much IMO.
