I don't like to put a number on a concession.

If asked I tell my opponents that I will concede when I want to whether it is a 2 footer or a 5 footer.

Once in a while make them putt a tough 3 footer it builds character

    Dust off this old thread.

Many match play are passed of after this mine writing and after many meeting and reading on the forum I never see a post where this suggestion is showed on. Conceding is a good thing but only if you concede the hole. Yeah, exactly, but if you concede the full hole after missing an approach or been over the par versus you opponent, you'll be near to the disconnection or even the freezing. Stats this and after a game with woodworkery he pass me that trick: don't concede the hole. Damn right those one. Got 'till today the 100% of freezing, reconnection, disconnection I see before tell my match play mate to not concede the hole, both cases. Last one was Hayes where, after missing a birdie shot concede me the hole before I shut out for the same point: next hole he got a disconnection, restart at tee off and after the complete charge of the links got the server error. Finally the next recharge was quite good and we didn't get any other troubles.

Hope this one could help members that play frequentely match plays.

    Cheers,
    Davide.

    mjglanzer:

Conceding putts early in the match (especially slightly longer ones) can lull your opponent into a false sense of security and then later on, boom you force them to putt out a clutch 2.5-3 footer and they choke. That can be enough to turn the tide of the whole match in your favor.

No rules on concedes.  Use them to your advantage.

    ^^^^ Seconded.
