As anyone who may have run a large community tournament .. these are a pain in the butt to do. So far I think the kids doing a nice job mediating it. It's been pretty painless.
Anyway hope this helps.
Lou,
Thanks for stepping in and facilitating this. Just returning from a trip abroad and jumping into this sandstorm.
To your point, a match this size is unwieldy and being a community tourney organizer, I understand the frustrations on both sides. You don't see too many successful tourneys on WGT exceeding 32 players. So please forgive me if the following adds any headache.
Despite some effort, I was unable to get my match with fravel in before i left on holiday. Including playing a match against my next round opponent pb1711 in the event I might advance against fravel, which was in an effort to keep this tourney on pace. I was assigned a forfeit against fravel. I accept and understandable based on my travels. Fravel then informed me he withdrew (see below). I messaged Jon with this info and he said it had been reversed, but it still reflects fravel as in the next round on the Challonge bracket.
In short, I'm confused, lol. If I am still in, please let me know and I will arrange another match against pb1711 if he desires, or the next opponent. If not, then that's cool too, but please let me know. My sleeves of ball donation to the winners still applies!
Due to holidays i think me and my partner (JColson) will
play, looks like he is away and i cant get hold of him now, will wait and
see.
The official bracket i see you put me as a win against JColson,?? We didn't play yet
EDIT:
" Buggyyy: Due to complaints about players automatically being
forfeited the win and not earning the win, I am decreasing the prize
fund to only 25K credits. I've had to void several matches that could've
changed the outcomes of many games. Please understand that this isn't
what I intended to do, but players can't be given something they didn't
deserve."
and for you to do this, decreasing the prize credits to 25K,please take my name off this tournament, ty
