I would love to see some of you numbers guys really go to town on updating the ball durability around here lately.

Everything I've read says putts don't count towards "hits" on your ball.  I beg to differ.  Three times lately I've had a ball get swapped out on the green AFTER the first putt.  So, it may not be much, but it does count.

Which, WGT, is beyond retarded.  I can putt a ball for 100 years and not have it lose enough life to require switching out.

Putts don't count when taken from the green.  When you putt from the fringe it does count as a hit against the ball life.

Well, 2 months ago i was thinking the same thing as i knew the putting challenge effected ball durability so i wondered if WGT had implemented it on the fly, but i can assure you i went to St andrews #10, and when ball was as low as i could get in the red i putted over and over for about 20+ putts and i can honestly say the ball didn't depreciate any further.  But this was then, who knows if its been brought in recently.  Try it for yourself next time you are in the red, go putt over and over.  It didn't depreciate 2 months ago so its the only way to fond out..............

I just find it strange that I have had several routine two putts from birdie range and the ball switched out after the first putt, not before.  I've seen both.  Oh well.
